Malaysian Restaurant Scouting CHS For Site
Charleston's sterling culinary reputation is acknowledged around the country by insiders and regular folks. For a relatively small city-we "only" have 800,000 people living in the region-the Holy City punches above its weight when it comes to restaurants.
Now there's word that a successful chef from DC wants to bring his Malaysian concept here.

Locals Opens Its 3rd CHS Restaurant
Locals, that of the weekly half-off sushi night, opened its 3rd Charleston-area restaurant on James Island.
The food menu features the full lineup of nigiri and sushi rolls that have become popular at Locals’ original Mount Pleasant location and second spot in West Ashley. Locals’ well known half-priced sushi night, a staple at the other two outposts, takes place Wednesdays on James Island.

King Street To Gain New Clothing Retailer
Steve Madden, the shoe retailer that blew up after Leo DiCaprio pumped up its stock in Wolf Of Wall Street-ok, that's a bit of fiction, I admit-closed its downtown store early this year. The space won't be vacant very long.
In another sign of King Street's validation as a retail destination, the space at 287 King has been leased by Reformation. This retailer has stores in some of the most high-profile markets around the country, as well as Toronto and London.
