Brass Tap To Open On Daniel Island
A couple from New Jersey, with long ties to the restaurant and bar business, will open Brass Tap later this year in a space across from New Realm Brewing. This new-to-Charleston concept comes out of Tampa and will offer 60 beers on tap.
Brass Tap is definitely about a wide selection of beers. The business model hones in on simplicity, so rather than focusing on brewing beer onsite, or creating a full-service restaurant as part of the plans, they are instead focused on serving great craft beer.

SC’s 1st Four Seasons confirmed to replace Charleston budget motel
A property flying the Four Seasons flag will replace the former Days Inn budget motel at 155 Meeting Street.
This is a big deal. Four Seasons is a huge and well-respected luxury brand in the hospitality industry. It further reinforces Charleston's reputation as a premier destination for travelers.

Legend Deli Opens On George Street Near C of C
Food and beverage vet Chaz Wendel (previously operating partner at Charleston Crab House) joined forces with former Husk chef Tyler Hunt to open Legend Deli, a shop full of steamed bagels, breakfast burritos, and pun-filled sandwiches.
The store serves creative combinations on Normandy Farm breads, like the G.O.A.T, which is black pepper turkey, whipped goat cheese, onion jam, arugula, and red pepper mayo on seeded rye bread.

Mudhouse Coffee Roasters Makes a New Home in Charleston
We are huge supporters of locally-owned coffee shops. In fact, we profile Charleston area shops with their own map on our website. No Google ad clutter here!
Mudhouse Coffee Roasters has opened a new shop in the heart of the peninsula at 375 King Street. The 5th retail outpost for the Roast magazine 2017 Micro Roaster of the Year winner is the first outside of Mudhouse’s home state of Virginia.

Lola Rose To Open In Carolina Park
A new restaurant from creators of The Grocery in Charleston is coming to Mount Pleasant.
James Beard Award-nominated chef Kevin Johnson and wife Susan plan to bring Lola Rose, a Mediterranean eatery and bar, to The Bend at 3540 Park Avenue Blvd. in the Carolina Park development by early summer.
